Biography
Dr Huang obtained her postdoctoal experience in Biological Sciences and Ph.D. in Public Health at the University of Hong Kong (HKU), focusing on the research on dietary composition in wild birds and ecology and evolution of avian influenza viruses in domestic birds. She joined the Division of Epidemiology and Biostatistics of the School of Public Health at HKU in 2022 to investigate the ecology and transmission of antimicrobial-resistant bacteria in communities, farms, and environmental settings.
Her research interests lie primarily in utilizing the One Health approach with metabarcoding, phylogenetic, epidemiological, and molecular biological methods to unveil the ecology and evolution of zoonotic pathogens.
