Danni joined the School of Public Health in 2019. She obtained her MPH from the University of Birmingham, specialising in International Public Health. Her thesis looked at asylum seekers’ experiences in accessing health assessments upon arrival to the UK. She has a BSc in Politics and International Relations from Aston University.
Before joining HKU, Danni managed a Global Health Partnership between Birmingham Children’s Hospital in the UK and the Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital in Malawi. She spent various lengths of time working in Malawi, focusing predominantly on building capacity through healthcare worker exchanges, specialist teaching and leadership development.
Most recently, Danni worked for Public Health England, providing system leadership and public health advice to NHS England and wider stakeholders to inform the equitable commissioning and delivery of population wide screening and immunisation services.
