Biography
Dr Jun Xu graduated from the faculty of Environmental Engineering at the University of Science and Technology in Jiangxi in 1997. He received in School of Environmental Engineering a master degree in 2003 and Ph.D degree in 2008 from Beijing University of Science and Technology.
At the university, Dr Xu ever worked with the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, measuring the inhalation, dietary exposure, and biomarkers of PAHs in workers from a coking industry of China, and also worked with the University of California, Los Angeles, exploring the reproductive effect of Boron exposure on male workers in boric acid factories and boric mines. After 5 years of collaboration with the American National Cancer Institute (NCI) on the Hospital-based Case-Control of Lung Cancer Study among Non-Smoking Women in Xuanwei and Fuyuan of China, he worked at the NCI and obtained the technical training in many areas in 2010. Now he is working as a postdoctoral fellow at School of Public Health in the University of Hong Kong for AsiaLymph study, the Multi-Center International Hospital-Based Case-Control Study of Lymphoma in Asia, from 2011 to 2015.
