She received her PhD of Science in Wildlife Borne Diseases with honors from the National Research Center for Wildlife Borne Diseases, Institute of Zoology Chinese Academy of Sciences in December 2022. Her PhD thesis focuses on the innate immune mechanism of ducks to detect influenza infection and the role of wild birds in transmitting influenza viruses during migration.

Prior to her PhD, Dr Wang completed her Master of Science in Microbiology with honors at Hebei Normal University in June 2018. Her master thesis includes the study on the differences in highly pathogenic H5N6 avian influenza viral pathogenicity and inflammatory response in chickens and ducks, and epidemiological surveillance on avian influenza viruses in wild birds.

Dr Wang obtained her Bachelor of Science in Biology with honors from Hui Hua College of Hebei Normal University in June 2015 with a thesis on the development of the detection kit of D-alanine biosynthesis related enzymes.
