Ms Carrie Ha Shuk-wan joined the School of Public Health at the LKS Faculty of Medicine in 2026, where she serves as an Assistant Lecturer for the Jockey Club End-of-Life Community Care Project: Unison (JCECC: Unison). She holds a Master’s degree in Behavioral Health and a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work. She also holds the Certification in Thanatology (CT®) credential from the Association for Death Education and Counseling (ADEC) and is a trained Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) teacher. With extensive social work experience across hospital medical social services, chronic illness management, community rehabilitation, and end-of-life care in NGO settings, she has developed deep expertise in clinical interventions, supervisory leadership, education, and training.

Her research interests focus on end-of-life, palliative, and bereavement care, mindfulness-based interventions, and advancing capacity-building strategies for social work education and healthcare practitioners.
