個人簡介

何世賢教授，香港大學公共衞生學院副教授。悉尼大學公共衞生碩士及香港大學流行病學哲學博士畢業，博士學習期間研究內容為生活方式和死亡率關係。他也是英國公共衞生學院的文憑成員（RCP）。他的主要研究領域是青少年健康與吸煙、酗酒和肥胖之間的關係。

何教授的青少年吸煙研究包括對於香港和澳門學校的調查研究、朋輩間吸煙的流行、吸入二手煙對開始吸煙、戒煙、學業表現和健康的影響及吸煙和處於二手煙環境的干預研究。酗酒研究包括對學生、家長、教師與校政的調查、父母飲酒習慣的影響和相關行為、酒精對睡眠的影響和醫療服務的負荷、戒酒教育材料的編制和預防措施。肥胖研究包括其風險因素和後果、體育活動和非鍛煉式的體育活動、體形及體重的錯誤認知、社區環境、腰圍-身高比例、不吃早餐和自尊心相關的調查。

他希望有朝一日兒童可免受二手煙之苦。
