Dr Man Siu-ching Idy is currently a Post-doctoral Fellow at the School of Public Health, The University of Hong Kong, where she earned her bachelor’s, master’s, and Ph.D. degrees. Her research focuses on community health and mental health, with particular emphasis on resilience-building as a cornerstone of primary healthcare initiatives. Her doctoral thesis aimed to unravel the intricate interplay between the psychobiological processes of stress responses and how these processes moderated psychological health outcomes following major life stress. Her broader research interests include addressing the complex challenges in community health and bridging the gap between research and practical healthcare delivery. Dr Man is dedicated to translating research findings into effective, culturally sensitive health interventions to improve outcomes and strengthen health systems. She is deeply committed to advancing primary healthcare research that integrates health and wellbeing with community empowerment.
