個人簡介
Dr Song Yi specialises in the epidemiology, evolution, and genomic characterisation of respiratory and zoonotic viruses. She received her PhD in Infectious Disease Epidemiology from The University of Hong Kong and her Bachelor of Medicine in Preventive Medicine from Fudan University. Her research focuses on integrating phylogenetics, viral genomics, and epidemiological modelling to elucidate patterns of viral transmission, adaptation, and cross-species emergence. She has contributed to works on global parainfluenza virus epidemiology, avian influenza classification and mammalian adaptation, SARS-CoV-2 variant dissemination in Hong Kong. Additionally, she is actively engaged in the development of advanced genotyping tools for global avian influenza surveillance.
