Dr. Jin joined the State Key Laboratory of Emerging Infectious Diseases in The University of Hong Kong in 2012 and obtained the degree of PhD of Virology in 2017. Her research interests are the evolutionary study and risk assessment of emerging viruses, such as influenza A viruses and MERS-CoV. The main focus of her current research is to understand the long-term evolution of swine influenza viruses in southern China and to identify how the human and avian influenza viruses influence the ecology of their swine counterparts.
