Joni joined the division of Kinesiology, School of Public Health in 2018 where she will be assisting all the courses offered by the Minor in Kinesiology program.

She was an undergraduate student of the Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Health (now known as the Minor in Kinesiology program) at the University of Hong Kong and she had also completed her PhD studies in the School of Public Health. Her doctoral project focused on the evaluation of physical activity measurement methods and she is particularly interested in areas related to the promotion of physical activity and exercise for health.

Before joining the team at the School of Public Health, Joni worked as a postdoctoral fellow on a community project aimed at improving Hong Kong primary school students’ physical activity levels. The project was funded by the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charity Trust.
